So a few weeks have gone by and a lot has happened! I am now coming to you as the Assistant Director of Forsyth East CDC on Fort Riley. We can drop the "Assistant" because there is no Director at this facility, nor will there be. So basically I am getting paid a little to do a LOT. That being said...I am SO blessed to have this job and I kind of love it! This experience is going to be amazing for my resume and it should make it relatively easy to get a Director position at our next duty station...God willing. [I say that because it is still up in the air as to whether the hubby will be able to reenlist next summer. Here's hoping he comes back from Afghanistan as an E6 so we don't have to worry about that!
I know we would be just fine in the event that he is unable to reenlist [you know, and not finish out the remainder of his time and retire...it's not like his 13 years were worth letting him continue 7 more right?] but as much as I hate moving around...I'm just not ready to have to decide where to live for the rest of my life!? As much as we b*tch and moan about being uprooted and told where to live...the very thought of making that decision scares the crap out of me! Ironic huh? :)
Not only am I newly employed back in the Army world, but I also moved into a new house! [thank you to my ladies for being such a huge help...in more than one way...during this move] I will post pictures once I have forced myself to unpack and arrange the new place. [I can promise that it will be done in time for the hubby to come home but anything before that, well, I'm not holding my breath. [coming from one of the biggest procrastinators EVER]
So there is my quick update. I apologize for the less than entertaining blog this time but figured I should get in an update while I had a chance. Pictures of the new house to come....one Pinterest project at a time! :)
